Frequently Asked Questions
HEIC and AVIF still images, up to 25 MB each and 100 MB per batch. Each image must fit within 12,000 pixels per side and 24 million pixels. Multi-image HEIC files export the first image; AVIF animations export a single frame. Unusual profiles or containers may not decode.
PNG keeps transparency. JPEG fills transparent areas with white. The export is a newly rendered image: camera and location metadata are not copied. HDR and wide-gamut appearance may change; check the preview before using the result.
HEIC and AVIF are efficient formats. JPEG and especially PNG may use more space. This tool changes format and does not promise a smaller file. Lower JPEG quality can reduce output size.
HEIC uses a local decoder loaded when needed. AVIF uses your browser’s decoder. Use an updated browser with image workers and OffscreenCanvas support. Unsupported or damaged images show an error without preventing other files from converting.
