About Rotate & Flip Image

Rotate & Flip Image turns a PNG, JPEG or WebP picture in quarter turns or mirrors it, entirely in your browser. The Clockwise rotation menu offers 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees, and two checkboxes flip the image horizontally or vertically. The flips are applied before the rotation, so mirroring and then turning gives a predictable result you can check in the preview. A 90 or 270 degree turn swaps the width and height of the output, so a landscape photo becomes portrait, and no pixels are cropped. Only these four angles are supported, not free-angle rotation. You can keep the original format or switch to PNG, JPEG or WebP. JPEG and WebP show a quality slider from 10 to 100 percent, defaulting to 90. PNG and WebP preserve transparent areas, while JPEG fills them with white. Files up to 25 MB and 12,000 pixels per side are accepted, with a 24 million pixel total. The download is a new file named after your original with -utilzilla added, so the source image is never overwritten. Animated images become one still frame.

Choose a photo, set Clockwise rotation to 90 degrees, and select Create image. The Result preview shows the turned image with width and height swapped. Pick 270 degrees for a counterclockwise quarter turn, or 180 degrees to turn it upside down.

Tick Flip horizontally to mirror left and right, or Flip vertically to mirror top and bottom. You can tick both. The flip happens before any rotation is applied, and you can leave rotation at 0 degrees if you only want a mirror.

No. This tool supports quarter turns only: 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees. Limiting the angle means nothing is cropped and no empty corners appear, so the full picture is kept at the same pixel count.

Quarter turns do not need new pixel positions, but exporting as JPEG or WebP re-encodes the image with lossy compression at your chosen Quality. PNG is lossless. Choose PNG if you want to avoid any compression loss.

No. The image is rotated on your device in the browser, and Download creates a new file instead of overwriting the original. Supported inputs are PNG, JPEG and WebP up to 25 MB.
