About Text Reverser

The text reverser flips your text in one of three ways. Reverse characters turns the whole input back to front, so hello becomes olleh. It splits text into grapheme clusters with the browser's Intl.Segmenter before reversing, which keeps an emoji with a skin tone, a flag, or a letter with a combining accent together instead of scrambling its parts. Reverse words splits on any run of whitespace, reverses the order and joins with a single space, so one two three becomes three two one. Because line breaks count as whitespace, a multi-line input comes out as one line, and leading and trailing whitespace is dropped. Reverse lines keeps each line intact and reverses their order, converting Windows or Mac line endings to plain newlines. Punctuation stays attached to whichever word it touches, so Hello, world! becomes world! Hello, in word mode. Reversing characters is not a transliteration: right-to-left scripts such as Arabic are simply reordered by character and may not look correct. Inputs over 500,000 characters are rejected. Use it for palindrome checks, puzzles, mirrored text and flipping a list into reverse order.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. It reverses by grapheme cluster, so a family emoji, a flag or a letter with an accent mark stays in one piece. Browsers without Intl.Segmenter support are not handled specially.

Choose Reverse words. The word order flips while each word keeps its own spelling. Runs of spaces, tabs and line breaks collapse into single spaces in the output.

Choose Reverse lines. The last line becomes the first and the text inside each line is untouched. Blank lines count as lines and are reversed along with the rest.

Word mode treats a line break as whitespace and joins everything with one space. Use Reverse lines if you need to keep the line structure.

Yes, reverse by characters and compare. The tool does not strip spaces, punctuation or case, so remove those yourself first for phrases such as A man, a plan.
